Hey there. Happy 4th of July!

I had a small window this morning to create some content so I took advantage of it. Today I show you how to install an open source GIS platform called QGIS. It is a very powerful mapping tool and will help us visualize any geospatial analysis we perform form here on out.

The goal of this episode is to follow along and download and install QGIS. Once QGIS is installed you will want to install the OpenLayers Plugin; this will allow us to call out to the GoogleMaps API and populate QGIS with their base map.

Let me know if you have any questions.
